Bio (feel free to use it)
Lorenzo Mannocci is currently Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pisa, working on TANGO project, on the topic Hybrid Artificial Intelligence models for detection of (in)authentic behaviour and content”.
He got the PhD in 2025 in Italian National PhD in Artificial Intelligence with a PhD scholarship co-financed by IIT-CNR and by CNR on the theme Machine/deep learning for understanding and curbing the spread of online disinformation”. He investigated Coordinated (in)authentic Behavior on Online Social Networks, exploiting and developing network science and machine learning techniques. During his PhD, he spent two research visits (2023 and 2024) at Uppsala University, Sweden, where he worked with Prof. Matteo Magnani on multimodal and cross-platform coordinated behavior.
He graduated in 2021 with honors in the master’s degree in Data Science and Business Informatics always at University of Pisa, with a thesis entitled “Bot detection with unsupervised approach based on multivariate time series”, carried out in collaboration with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He obtained in 2019 the bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at University of Pisa
